UConn Presentation
Just got an email from the Boston AA regarding an ADPi presentation at UConn on Tuesday, March 27. Exact location and time is still TBD, if you live in the area they are looking for Alumnae & Collegians to fill up the room.
If you are interested in attending, PM me and I'll get you in touch with the appropriate person.

Our local panhellenic voted tonight and the 3 sororities choosen to present are:
Alpha Phi
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Omicron Pi
We're excited because these were our top 3 choices.

Since UConn would be a recolonization (Gamma Alpha), I wonder if that is seen as a benefit or a detraction?
I'd love to go - the Quinnipiac presenation last April was so inspiring! - but UConn is a good 3 hours away, begins at 5:30 and I've been on biz travel and vacay for the past 2 weeks - can't imagine taking a half day this week...

I go to UConn and I plan on going to the ADpi presentation. I don't think that re-colonization is an issue at all - it might even be seen as a good thing, because you will have alumni in the area to help support. (i'm actually in a sorority that just re-colonized here.)
alpha phi and chi omega have also given presentations at uconn... we will be choosing the one that best suits the greek community here already. i absolutely LOVE seeing what the different sororities can bring to campus!

This kind of reminds me of a rush thread. Anxiously awaiting to hear the results, hoping that you were the "chosen" sorority. LOL.

You are SO right!! After going to the Quinnipiac presentation, I think I emailed one poor AD weekly asking if she'd heard!

Alpha Phi was chosen to colonize at UConn per the expansion thread in greek life.
Congratulations to them.
(back to making my powerpoint presentation on the fetotoxic effects of mercury now.)

Congratulations to our Panhellenic Sisters of Alpha Phi!
Now, let's totally **WOW** them at the other two schools!

Congratulations to Alpha Phi!
I am really disappointed that we were not selected in either of our two District III presentations, esp. UConn which was a recolonization... Hopefully, there will be more expansion opportunities in the Northeast!!
