You didn't post anything to start conversation. You just did your usual post-a-bunch-of-links post.

It's NEVER too early to start talking college basketball!!!! Sure, football season's been wacky this year, but it's just not basketball.

There seems to be a few more early-season tournaments this year though. I wonder how long it will take until all we have are the Old Spice/Coaches for Cancer/Maui/NIT/Great Alaska/so forth and so on games in November?

I love my Duke Basketball. So, my family was able to catch the games from their tournament.

Is anyone else surprised that there have been so many "upsets" so far? This may lead to an up and down season like college football has been.

I need to find out if there are still student tickets for Georgetown-ODU on Wednesday night.

Which is a way of starting a thread.
I just provided the facts for others to talk about.

Seems to have worked

BTB: What is your impute on this basketball thread? Favorite team?
I am not sure yet as my home team is not Div 1 and my girl-friends team seems to still be recovering from ,
IIRC correctly, some sanctions.

Could be
1) A way to try to get some attention from football
2) A way to get some $$$$

Or we can follow the football model and have conversations on/about games and the impact on the updated polls.

And then comes March Madness!

And yes, if I have a comment or two on the subject matter I will post them as well.

Yes but since we are all presumably college educated we know how to FIND the polls all by ourselves.

Not everyone seems to be able (or just perhaps willing) to navigate to web.
And why have to find them if they are provided for you?

And if that is the only thing that bothers you in the whole of GC, then just
do not look at them.

Out of default, I think I will have to start following Michigan State and Washington State.
http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/polls
http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/ncb/rankings
http://www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/polls
http://www.scoreboard.msnbc.com/msnb...ort=cbk&cat=ST

But then again, UPS is doing well this year
http://www.ups.edu/x6738.xml
http://www.ups.edu/mbasketball.xml
http://d3hoops.com/top25/

Back in the day, Div II Champs!
Starting 5 were all Phi Delts.
Who were only in or around house during rush and in next state during hell week.
