MermaidPrincess's Walt Disney World Themed Recruitment Story!

Hey y'all! Let me give a little background about myself before I begin my story: I am currently a sophomore at a large university in the deep South. I am originally from the mid-Atlantic region (Pennsylvania, to be exact!) and I have no family members who were Greek so it's safe to say that I really did not know what I was getting myself into. This was my first year going through formal recruitment; I did not rush in the fall but I did rush in the spring (I'll fill y'all in about that in my story because it does factor into my outcome!) I have used GC for about a year or so now and I would have posted this on my other account, but there was way too much information on there that would have given away who I am and what house I ended up in. At the end of my story I will reveal not only what sorority I am now pledging but also what school I go to and that will probably give me away to the amazing women on here who have helped me get to where I am today! So without further ado, here we go!

I absolutely love Disney so I figured that I would base the theme of my recruitment story on the Happiest Place on Earth and one of my favorite vacation destinations, Walt Disney World! At my school there are 16 established houses:

Space Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Expedition Everest
Mad Tea Party
Splash Mountain
Enchanted Tiki Room
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Jungle Cruise
It's a Small World
Haunted Mansion
Dinosaur
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Peter Pan's Flight

Also, there was one organization re-colonizing as well. Let's call them Regal Carrousel.

Going into recruitment I had at least one letter of recommendation for every chapter as per the advice on this forum, so I was prepared in that aspect. I also bought what I thought were the absolute perfect outfits for recruitment (Lilly Pulitzer dresses, an LBD for Pref Day)... Little did I know that your outfits factor so little into the process. I must warn y'all, my story does have a happy ending but it involved A LOT of heartbreak for me. Anyway, hope that you look forward to reading it! I will be updating it every day until I get to the conclusion!

Toss up between Pirates and Space Mountain. They are my two favorite rides.

I have to go with The Haunted Mansion because I was enthralled with that when I was little. I loved the ghosts dancing in the ballroom and remember they made it look like a ghost was sitting next to you when you passed a mirror.
It sounds like you already finished rush and that this has a happy ending.
Yeah ~ cannot wait to hear it!

I love Peter Pan's Flight so that will be my pick. I'm so glad that you said there will be a happy ending! And I totally agree that all that stressing over the perfect outfit seemed a little useless after it was all over.
