Wink Before you post more negatives. Read This!

I'm sure many of you have seen this before, but it's a good reminder of "no matter the letter, Greek together".

"The Greek That's Written There"

It makes little difference
The size of your pin
Whether it's large or small,
And if its plain
Or brilliant with jewels
Is of no concern at all,
But the vows that you took
Along with your pin,
Have you worn them constantly,
Quietly, deep in the heart
Where no one looks to see?
Have you touched the stars
You reached for once
In you own small piece of sky?
Have you striven for the honorable,
The beautiful, and the high?
What difference then
The shape of the badge,
Be it
Diamond or quill or square
The important thing is
How much do you love
The pin you chose to wear?

That poem was printed on our rush booklets when I went through formal recruitment. That poem still sits with all of my memorabilia because it means so much to me! I have many friends in different organizations, and that help puts our love for our GLO in perspective! Thanks for printing it!

This is a wonderful way of thinking about the entire GLO world. As long as a member of any organization acts with dignity and respects others, their commitment to their GLO only gains them extra points with me! It shows they care about ideals and commitment... both rare enough today!

I used this poem right before pref night for the girls in my rush group when I was a rush counselor many years ago. I remembered some but not all of it. Here it is again, in its entirety. It's as special now as it was thirty years ago.
