Sorority gets wet; frat gets hammered

Title made me smile. This story is about how Hurricane Frances' has damaged Greek houses in UCF.

I used to write for the Central Florida Future, and it amazes me that as they gain more resources, the quality of writing continues to spiral downward. I thought the headline was tasteless, and there was no mention of damage to Greek Row until the 4th or 5th paragraph. Way to go-- bury the lead.

A tabloid is the size of the paper-- broadsheet size is what is used for papers like the LA Times, Washington Post, etc. A good example of a tabloid sized paper is the NY Post.

The Central Florida Future is printed tabloid size.

If you were asking, "Is the CFF yellow journalism?" The answer is no. It is not supposed to mimic Star or the Enquirer.

But in my day, and I'm sure it is still true today, there are people who work in the CFF office who are a bit challenged and think they are rather clever when it comes to spinning headlines. Rather sophomoric.

Ahhh yes, I picked this newspaper up today. And I saw the headline and was like....this could be very perverted, and thought it was about a busted party or something along those lines. I agree with a few posts up, very tasteless, another means to slam the greeks at UCF.

The title was clever, but inappropriate IMO.

Glee seems to be just under the surface of the happenstansis at the hands of Greeks.

It is still a disaster for the People who live in the Houses and have to find Temp housing.

Greek Housing is an adjunct to Campus Housing where it is usually lacking.
