I'd say that overall we got a B+.
We had some issues with losing brothers to grades, depledging a couple guys, and things of that nature.
Our social reputation also slipped due to a lack of places to party, which made for some rather boring weekends.
On the other hand we won grades for the fourth semester in a row, and should be able to repeat for the 4th time as winners of the Virginia Tech award at Convention.
We won homecoming again for the second straight year.
Our movement towards greater compliance with the GF's risk management policy has occurred pretty readily, but not with out some painful steps, and I'm not sure that I'm in agreement with the steps we've taken, or the rules we've set up.
We did well in rush, I guess, but this was an "off year". We seem to have weaker pledge classes in the even years (2002,2000,1998) than we do in the odds. So far I think this rush season has got off to a good start (check out my Summer Rush Thread in the Rush forum).
We didn't win as many events as we did during my freshmen year (1st in DG's Anchor Splash, 2nd in Kappa Kickoff, 1st in Cabbie Change Drive for NU on Wheels, 1st in AZD's Kareoke Kraze). But it is hard to repeat in events like that.
At Convention we'll be up for the Knox again, and the Sisson is assured. Hopefully, we'll be recognized for the other good things we've done.
This year, I think the unwritten goal of the chapter is to increase our social calender, with more parties as well as more dry events. Obviously we want to keep pushing ourselves for involvement and grades as well as leadership positions on campus.
