Hey I'm an Alpha Phi transfering from Midwestern State University to Southwest Texas State University in the Spring. I was wondering if any of you go to SWT or know any a phies there. Thanks for all of your help.

Hey alphaphichick20: I have the CD that Alpha Phi International sent with the complete Alpha Phi member directory. If you want, I'd be happy to check and see how many Phis are in the San Marcos area. I am sure there are a bunch, though how many are still in college, I don't know.

Have you ever thought about Texas Tech? They have an AWESOME A-Phi chapter there, right TechAPhi?

Alpha Phi at Texas Tech is one of the many stellar pieces in Alpha Phi's quilt.

I'm not sure about A-Phis at SWT (I know there is no chapter), but there could be a group of alums. I hope you find a super group there!

I checked my Alpha Phi member CD and, according to it, there are 13 Alpha Phis in San Marcos. I don't know if any of them attend SWT, or if they are older alums.

The following alum chapters are in Texas:

* Amarillo
* Dallas and Suburban
* Dallas Metro Ivy Circle
* Denton
* Fort Worth
* Lubbock (yay!)
* NE Texas
* Southwest Dallas
* Tri-County
* Witchita Falls
* Austin
* Brazos Valley
* Houston
* Kingwood/Humble
* Midland
* NW Houston
* San Antonio
* Williamson County

I don't know if any of those work for you. If not, you could start one! Alpha Phi International can send you information on starting an alum chapter or Ivy Circle, along with names and addresses of A-Phi women in the cities and towns near you.

I hope you find this info helpful. Best of luck to you.

Love in AOE,
Jen

Definitely you could start an alum group. Or, if you're willing to endure the drive, join the Austin alums. Good luck to you at SWT and congrats on your acceptance!
