Talking I just found out....

...THAT I'M GOING TO JAMAICA ON SPRING BREAK!!

My boyfriend just called to tell me that his best friend's dad hooked us up with a house right on the beach for free!!

We just have to pay for our flight there and back along with whatever we spend there, oh lordy I'm in a good mood!!

So, experienced travelers of GC, what should I not forget?

And...where is the cheapest place to buy plane tickets?

Thanks!!!! Kayla

Is there an STA travel anywhere near you? Sometimes you can get good student fares to popular destinations and all you have to do is show proof that you're in school.

Otherwise, the usual discount travel sites will be a good source of sales. It might be good to do it quickly, as Jamaica is a popular Spring Break destination.

But, you'll have a good time! Jamaica is a lovely country.

Bring also something with DEET in it if you tend to get bit by mosquitoes. I bought Avon's Skin So Soft with DEET in it and it helped immensely!

Other than that....lots of bathing suits, shorts t-shirts (make sure they're cotton!) and one nice outfit in case you want to eat it a more upscale place...

Bring a smile, sunglasses and a "no problem mon" attitude! Have a great time! I've been 5 times myself...It's my favorite Caribbean spot!

The cheapest thing that I've found for travel deals is that I scan Orbitz, and then go directly to the carrier's site and book there.

Oh goodness. For me, climbing the falls was one of the highlights of the trip!

Also, if you don't already...prepare to LOVE reggae music. After being there, now whenever I hear Bob Marley I am instantly relaxed! It's a totally different way of life. Everything is "No problem, mon" as mentioned above!

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!

Jamaica's awesome. You will love it if you like warm weather (like me!). It's really laid-back, which can kinda be bad if you want anything done but it's also one of its charms.
