Question Rush parties for AIs?

In reading through some old posts I notice where one AI-hopeful said she went to a pizza party with 5 other PNAM.

Is this common? having "rush" parties for PNAMs? To have 5 PNAM in an area at once?

I always throught that AI was much more selective

It happens in the NPHC realm.

Thumbs up

rho4life,

thank you, and I love Pizza!

For some of those that dont know, NHPC Chapters are not as large as NIC or NPC Organizations depending on the Campus and School.

rho4life, I still love pizza, might I request an invite in My Local area if possible?

Maybe I should get ahold of some of my partners in Kappas and Omegas.

What does that have to do with anything? I'm not even talking about rush, i'm talking about alumnae/i initiation. Please read the thread

And to clarify I guess i meant to gear this towards NPC b/c that's what kind of group the post I saw was talking about

I know that we sometimes actively recruit several AIs at a time around some schools where alumnae are few and far between (like the UP of Michigan) or if we're colonizing and need additional alumnae support in the area. I don't know the process of meeting these women though.

AGD went over "how to become an AI" at our Convention this summer and our Alumnae Club President encouraged women to bring friends of theirs who would make good Alpha Gams around to meet us. Most likely, they would just come to our alumnae club events. Those events range from "chic flick night" to philanthropy projects to potlucks or craft nights. I don't know that any PNAMs would know in advance how many others would be there ahead of time. AGD has a very positive attitude toward AI, in part, I'm sure, because our most recent past International President was an AI herself.

Tom, put the moonshine down.

Once again. N-P-H-C

Why is this so difficult for you? You seem to have no problem with NPC or NIC.

I'd say that it is possible to have that many PNAIs at one event. Like AGDee though, we do not have chapter events that are AI specific. We encourage our members to bring along friends to events that are open.

Our AC currently has one potential candidate and two more possibilities. This is the first time that I can remember that we have had this many at once. If things work out favorably, we could be initiating three wonderful women to our sisterhood.

Question

Maybe Rush for possible PNAI is to old a term.

Maybe Recruitment of PNAIs would fit better.

While for years, Social Greeks have been geared to just Undergrads. , there is a wealth of talent to draw from that have not for some reason been able to try and join as an undergraduate.

Many New AIs on GC prove that point. To many names to mention have found Homes and have been really working with Their New Sisters just prove that point.

dani--

I agree with you in that I never heard of having anything for PNAIs. I always just thought that alumnae initiation had something to do with your dedication prior to ever even thinking of becoming a member. Our alumnae association has never had anyone bring someone who isn't already a d phi e. I don't know what we would do/think!
