*Sticks nose in the air*
Mu Alpha doesn't have pledge classes -- we have lines.
LOL just had to put on my Mu Alpha chauvinism for a second.
At any rate, we had a pledgeline that started at 23 and ended at 20, with all expected to be initiated tonight, unless the chapter made a surprise vote today.

Help!
Hello! I'm transferring from SUNY Delhi to CUNY Baruch this Fall ('07) and i'm interested in pledging for AKA. But the thing is, I live in Brooklyn! I know that there's a Brooklyn chapter (Mu Alpha), but will I have to pledge in Manhattan being that i'm going to school there? or will I have to pledge in Brooklyn? I can appreciate someone's help

We call them pledges, but their unit is called a pledgeline, not a pledge class.
I honestly can't tell you why other than that's how we've always done it in our chapter and all other Greek lettered organizations at Georgetown do it that way.
Note: NPHC orgs (which also use the term "line") did not come to Georgetown until the 70s, decades after the oldest org at Georgetown used the term (which was prior to the desegragation of the school). My point is to let people know that my chapter didn't co-opt the term because we were trying to be like NPHC orgs.
