New Direction

Ok, I'm doing it.

Of my 2 years in LA, I've been totally miserable for the past year and a half. This job is killing me slowly. So I'm going home and I'm going to work on my writing clips and start over as a journalist.

Such a relief.

I have decided on a new direction too....
I am moving to Ft. Lauderdale area from PA with one of my sorority sisters' cousins who will be going to grad school. I have only met her once, and have talked and emailed her half a dozen times. She seems cool. I will be working, but am thinking of going to get my paralegal cert. too. Its time for a change. I am done living in my quarter-life crisis!

Are you going home as in Orlando or as in Coral Springs?

I'm glad to hear that you're moving home. I think you'll be a lot happier back in Florida. Keep me updated!

I'd love a South Florida GC get-together! I will be in Coral Springs (Ft Laud area) for a couple of months.

I'm pricing out the costs to ship stuff home. I'm unloading all my furniture in LA, so all I will bring back are clothes, computer and some linens. And some books. Fitting into the guest room at my parents' home will be very very very tight.

I'm having doubts about everything, naturally. Gave my roommate notice on Friday. If all goes as planned, I will be coming back early June.

Has anyone ridden Amtrak? I'm not too keen on driving cross-country again, and it will be a lot less to do Amtrak than ship my car and fly home.

YAY! I am so excited to meet new people in S. Florida since I bearly know anyone down there, I would love a get together!

Adpiucf- I am taking the amtrak Auto Train from PA to Orlando and then driving the rest to Ft. Laud. Its not overly expensive, no more than what it would cost to drive down, you get a sleeper room and your meals are included. check out www.amtrak.com the auto train info is kind of hard to find, so do a search for it. They only have specific stations they travel out of, so you may have to drive to get to it.
