I love Canada! (specifically Windsor, Ontario)
Hey everyone. I was in Detroit for my fraternity's convention this past weekend, and a few of us took the opportunity to go into Canada. It was my first time in Canadam, and I was very excited to go. Windsor, Ontario is definitely a very cool place from what I saw. Granted, I was there only for a few hours, but even the vibe of Windsor was very different from what I'm used to in the U.S. AND they have universal healthcare (although 15% sales tax) Canada definitely gets props from me.
Shout outs to everyone from Canada and big ups to anyone from Windsor. Ya'll got a cool city.

Windsor is a fun place. I have family in Detroit and I used to go to Windsor whenever I went there to visit. You are right the vibe is different.

I'm glad you had a great time in Canada!
But if you think Windsor is fun, you need to come to Toronto or Montreal or Vancouver!!!
P.S 15% tax does suck, but it's not like that everywhere. Alberta has the lowest tax rate in Canada, and no PST.

Canada rocks - I'm so glad to call it my new home! And you're right: the vibe north of the border is really different, but vive la difference!

I live about a half hour from Windsor and it's a great place to hang out, especially on weekends! Lots od bars and clubs, and of course the casino. There really is something for everyone.
And the drinking age is 19. Bless those Canadians. Hehe...

Windsor is about a 5 minute drive from campus, so obviously I been there many many times. I kind of quit going once I hit 21 though. Well, school starts in a few weeks so I'll be once again making many Canada trips with the guys that are underage here in the states!

In the summer, before we were 21 my buddies from home and I would go up to windsor for a couple nights every summer. We always had a blast. We would just get hammered and make complete fools out of ourselves. it was a great time. I haven't been back in a little while but I would definitely go back, its a cool town.

Ah! But when you're in Detroit, Windsor is South of the border!
Otherwise, you're right. Canada Rocks. Great place, great folks.
(I remember years ago when the Society of Professional Journalists were meeting in Detroit and the headline on their daily magazine/update was "South of the border, down Canada Way." I thought that was really cute.
