Gotta love Gamma Gamma. My aunt joined ZTA there and was so happy when I became a Lambda Chi years later.

Our Kappa Psi chapter at Kutztown will be installed on Dec. 9. We will be colonizing at St. Louis University in September 2007.

Eta Chapter

ZTAngel-
It is my understanding from the ZTA website that the Eta Chapter at MBC closed not because the school did not allow greeks, but because it was not a 4 yr school at the time. In fact, the school had 2 other sorrorites on-campus for several years after our chapter closed...

A Quote from http://www.zetataualpha.org/default....t&ContentId=11 :
"Although a difficult decision, the ZTA 1906 Convention went through the necessary formalities of charter revocation of the chapters that did not meet the requirements of the Intersorority Convention. Thus, our birthplace, Alpha Chapter, became dormant for 43 years. (It was later re-opened when Longwood University became an accredited four-year institution.) Also lost was Eta Chapter at Mary Baldwin College.

With the closure of Alpha and Eta Chapters, ZTA was able to meet the Conference's eligibility requirements. Admission was granted at the next NPC biennial meeting."

hope i helped !

A few years ago I asked a national council VP/collegiate about that. She told me that they (I/O?) thought it wouldn't sound right. I'm not sure if she was serious or not.

Honestly I hope she wasnt serious. I was looking over the dates and 7 chapters were installed in 1964 So maybe it was an honest mistake?

Hi, ladies. I have confirmed with the "Powers that Be" that the Epsilon Chapters were skipped because the names just did not sound right. It was just a style choice. Now we know.

As much as I love ZTA, that's just dumb. Epsilon Alpha does not "not sound right."
