2010 Resolutions!
What are yours?
Last year I resolved to get more organized and I did but I really need to organize the house better. (Given the circumstances, lol.)
So...that's number one. I'll make more as the year progresses rather than now.

This year, I have two big things.
1. Buy the African Fat-tailed Gecko I have wanted for four years.
2. Buy a Mazda3.
Smaller, less monetary things:
1. Make more connections as an alumna in all my orgs (I'm already doing this for SAI. Waiting to hear back from AGD. & PSP is....not strong on the alumnae issue.)
2. Realize that being "a whole lot of woman" (& I mean personality wise) is not a bad thing.

1. Lose more weight! I'm still a vegetarian, but I want to cut out more junk and eat less cheese (atleast in my own home).
2. Make a BIG life decision and stop putting it off

I don't do NY resolutions.
But, a lot of excellent transitions are happening in 2010, so it's going to be an even better year than the previous better years.

1. Beat my boss and co-worker in our own version of the biggest loser.
2. Cook more meals I can eat (I'm vegetarian, too)

1. I want to become a vegetarian! I'm currently reading Eat Right 4 Your Type and it's a lifestyle change on eating based on your blood type. Mine says I should follow a plan that's limited in meat, so that's my one goal.
2. Along those lines, I want to adopt more Buddhist fundamentals in my life. If you aren't sure about what those would be, PM me.. or just read up on it.
3. I would love to be able to run longer so I'm going to try to add 10 minutes to how long I run each month.
May everyone have a happy and healthy New Year!

I always fail at my resolutions, so I picked some things I can actually do.
1. Learn the words to "We Didn't Start the Fire."
2. Learn the "Single Ladies" dance
3. See Jimmy Buffett in concert as many times as possible.
Silly things, yes, but I could actually succeed this year!

I don't do new years resolutions, but the resolutions I have been focusing on recently are cutting out caffeine (near impossible), getting to the gym 6 times a week for 45 minute cardio/weights/abs "quick-hitters" (surprisingly easy) and partying less. The last one is the toughest...I am the definition of an extrovert in real life and at my age range the primary social outlet is bars...I love the ease of being able to go out and see 20 people you know, but the days after are completely lost in terms of productivity and health.

Qualify for the Boston Marathon! It's not going to happen, but I might as well try.

Well, I think it's possible, just not during 2010 -- unless my training goes perfectly.

If you are used to eating a lot of meat on a daily or weekly basis, start small if going vegetarian is your goal by slowly cutting different meats out of your diet. Also dont forget that if a dish has beef or chicken stock/broth in it, it is not a vegetarian dish!

Thanks for the advice! Right now I only eat chicken and very seldom fish, I cut out all red meat a while ago. I feel like that will make it easier but I still know it's going to be a difficult transition.
