Yes, it's a very sad situation. I was very disappointed to learn that the vessel was not crafted to high standards on account of poor management by the CEO. If the submersible didn't implode, causing instant death in milliseconds, then I can only imagine that the long wait for a rescue while air runs out is a very unfortunate place to be indeed. May God have mercy on their souls.

I was listening to CNN and they were saying it had a video game 🎮 like controller for its controls. And then there was another passenger who backed out because of the poor technology? Smart. Apparently they’re picking up knocking or banging sounds? I swear, that would be a horrible way to die.

I’m just thinking what if someone has to use the bathroom? It’s like no place to go.

You guys can call me heartless or whatever you want to, but why would anybody get on a submersible operated by a video game controller? Dumb rich folks. Nobody should have to suffer like that but damn, have some smarts.

If it was me, I’d say fuck it and open the door so I could die real quick.

No, wait…. It does have a bathroom.

How long were they supposed to be down there?

Just a few hours. They only took one meal but they have 4 days worth of oxygen and a couple of days worth of water.

I didn’t know there was a toilet. Well, there’s 5 people onboard, CG. How long do you think it’d take to fill up a toilet that small since Sunday? C’mon now.

The hatch is bolted on from the outside. They can't open it from the inside.

From what I read, the crew/passengers were instructed not to eat prior to the departure so as to reduce the need to go. If they're not eating or drinking much, then I imagine there's not much output. On the other hand, the fear and distress that could set in could loosen the bowels.

Regardless of if it was a foolish decision to go on an experimental sub ride to a nearly unrescuable depth of the ocean, I do feel bad for the amount of regret they must feel, especially the father who brought his son with him. I don't wish that sort of ultimate despair on anyone.

Well, I hope they are rescued soon. If it was your loved ones down there, even if you felt they made a not so smart decision to go down there, you’d still want them rescued, Phrozen.

Hope they find them — but you wouldn’t see my ass down there. Nope.

I can't believe they each paid $250k to ride in a tin can with a video game controller. I truly hope they are found. I was a little optimistic when the banging sounds were reported.

They can’t get out either? They’re dumb and fucked.

I agree, which is why I never said I think they deserve it. I just think they’re stupid.

My relatives and I are chit chatting on group text about it right now. They wouldn’t be on that sub to begin with, so I wouldn’t have to worry about that.

Very well said.

Couldn't have gotten me on this caper for a million dollars, but I don't wish evil on these poor people. Truly, may God have mercy on their souls.
