New to GC! Few questions!

Hey Everyone!!
I just joined Greek Chat and I love it so far.. I have just been searching around and scoping the place out to get a feel for it...

I just have a few quick questions.. I am a sophmore now and will be taking a little sister in the fall.. I want to maybe get soe uniques stuff for her or do something really fun and different. anybody have any good ideas?

And another question... My pledge class never really learned any of the songs during this past year and speaking with some girl in the house many do not know them either... if you could send me lyrics or anything that would be great. I know myself and the girl in my house would truely appreciate it! THANKS!

AOE!!

There is a cd the chapter can buy. I have never heard it, so I don't know what's on it exactly. Maybe try looking into that?

yep, there's a CD you can buy with the songbook, although not every song in the book is on the CD. and you can tell some of the tracks were recorded a long, long time ago. :P but you can see the songbook online in the members-only section of International's site!

as for fun, unique things you can get for your little sister, i suggest visiting Michael's - i'm always figuring out new way to add letters/ivy to everything i own (or would like to own) and Michael's is awesome for inspiration (even though their prices are kind of jacked up). i recently just scored little wooden boxes on sale for $1 (normally $1.50) which I've spray painted bordeaux and decorated with silver permanent pen - now i have lovely pin boxes to put in bid packages! i also got glass paint, which i'm using to decorate plain, white mugs from the dollar store and giving out them in bid packages. but if you don't have budget limits, check out all the online Greek stores out there!

if your little lives in res, i highly recommend decorating her door with a sign that says "an Alpha Phi lives here" or "my big sister loves me" - good MAPing! i decorated my little's door with signs like that and little pink flowers i made out of tissue paper, which generated a lot of buzz on her floor. the cute boy across the hall asked if i could decorate his door, so i put a few flowers on it and he printed out his own sign that says "amelia's big sister loves me", haha! and now, he's a huge APhi fan.

also consider getting things engraved, bejewelled, or sewn onto things like clothes, pillowcases, decorative cushions, lamp shades, picture frames, adhesive magnets...the sky's the limit!
