Gas Prices
How high is it where you guys live? The prices here are unreal -- I need to start taking public transportation because I can afford to drive.
Check out this article...gas prices have gone up $.25 a gallon in the matter of two weeks.

Well, I do have to live in OKC, but it's not all bad -- $2.79 is highest and the lowest is $2.65.

You can still buy 87 octane? The lowest we can get is 89, the highest 93.
Also, ktsnake, I got gas a hellofalot cheaper than that. Where are you going?

I actually don't pay that much attention. Work is about 1.5 miles from home, and school is only another mile further.
I fill up maybe twice per month.
That was based on oklahomacitygasprices.com. It's possible that gas has gone up substantially since you last filled up?

I filled up yesterday evening, about 7.45 to 8ish, judging by the time I got home.
Maybe it was a fluke, but I got gas in SWOKC from Conoco for under 2.50.

I drive a 1971 Volkwagen Beetle, that my grandfather bought brand new. It needs 91 octane, which seems to be about the lowest you can buy in most of Europe.

It's about $2.90-$2.95 in the suburbs where I live for regular.
It's well over $3/gallon in the city of Chicago. I am so glad I take public transit to work!
Regular here=87 octane.

WTF? No, I was just surprised that out in Cali that you can get lower octanes, since the higher octanes have fewer emissions and there is so much smog out in LA.
