Question Senior Send-on

Hey Ladies!

I was wondering if any of your chapter's do a Senior Send-on? Our chapter's never done it before, but we're trying to plan one for our senior that is graduating this semester. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

We're a small chapter, with just one senior graduating this December. She's going to stay in Arkansas, and she's getting married in the Spring. If anyone has any ideas, I would definitely appreciate them!

SLAM!

My chapter does something called Senior Talks. Seniors hand down their shirts or other Sigma stuff to younger sisters, while saying a little something about each person. Each of them also makes a little speech about what Sigma has meant to them. They also get flowers from our AAB. At the end, we all gather around them and sing "In the Light." Then everyone usually goes out afterwards to celebrate. It's quite emotional, but it's my favorite chapter traditions.

We did something similar to what's already been mentioned, but insead, each member who wanted to say something to each graduating sister talked. It usually turned into a huge bawl fest, but I know what mine was really special to me. I was sent-on in December with 3 other girls, and our send on took like 3-4 hours!

Plus, my chapter used to (and I think still does) give each graduating senior a ring from james avery that says "Faith Hope Love". I don't wear my ring every day like I used to (I graduated 10 years ago), but when we all get together, it's funny to see all of us wearing them!

We did Senior Send-On, and I still remember mine. There were only three of us because it was right before the December graduation date (I graduated early). The thing that made it especially meaningful was the little bag of Wishes that our chapter advisor gave each of us. It was just a little purple chiffon bag filled with tiny notecards with a different wish for the future on each one. I scrapbooked mine and read them every now and again.

Sigma Love,
Laura
