Things are going great at Shorter College in Rome, Ga. Initiation and Installation are scheduled for Dec. 2-3. I'm planning on attending Installation.

How far of a drive would it be from Tally?

Rome is two hours from Atlanta. It's up I-75 then west to Rome. The directions on Shorter's site are very good.

It's a good three+ hours from Valdosta to Atlanta and I can't remember how long it takes to get to Valdosta from Tally. So, that's a total of five from Valdosta to Rome.

I am going. I need to be back a little early on Saturday for a sister's wedding but we could certainly caravan up there.

Unhappy

Well, I Google-mapped it and it's over 7 hours of driving. Too much for a weekend trip, unfortunately.

I just got the flyer for the Initiation and Installation from IO. If anyone would like to have a copy please email me at zetamere@yahoo.com.

Installation starts at 9:30 on Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church and the luncheon (guests are welcome, Carnation) is at noon at the Coosa Country Club.

Cost: $20

Even non-Zetas are welcome? I'll have to check my list of wedding events and see if there's a shower that day! Wow, y'all are going fancy--using the Coosa Country Club!

I just saw who the colony president is! We know her from ballet--she's a super kid. She was Miss Shorter (and then Miss Rome, I think) last year, which is really hard to get bc Shorter has so many professional-quality musicians and dancers.

Congratulations to y'all's newest chapter! Last night I saw one of your new members (the one I recommended to you, Zetamere) and she was on Cloud Nine! She loved everything and gushed, "And the church where we had initiation even had turquoise carpet!" She said that the past national president asked her, "Are you the one with the Zeta friend at Mississippi State?" which kind of unnerved her, lol.

We're happy to have you!
