I hadn't heard anything about the colony, but from the website it appears that the colony is still up and running.

Yes, you do.
Okay, but in all seriousness, in this case Cariboo refers to not only the animal, but also the "region".
I wonder if there exists a Falk University or Faulk University out there? I'm sure that I don't have to explain further.

Anyone know if the colony is still around, or what happened to it? I'd love to see more expansion to colleges and universities in BC.

Jen,
if you look at the minutes of the meeting here:
http://cariboo.tru.ca/stusoc/minutes/May10-04.doc
I wouldn't be surprised if it came to a grinding halt due Kappa Sigma being "males only". Le Sigh......
A few minutes later....
I spoke too soon!
They have a local sorority here:
http://www.tru.ca/clubs/deltasigmapi/
And in some of the other minutes, I saw that Kappa Sigma did get "approved" as a club....good for them!
Oh, and yeah, the official name is Thompson Rivers University now.

The bastion of higher edukashun, Alabama, has both a Faulkner State and Faulkner Univ.
No known Faulk U, however.
