Alpha Omicron's Rush

Hey! I just want to let you all know how rush is going for us

As many of you girls know, we have 3 NPC's on campus: Alpha Xi Delta, Alpha Epsolin Phi, and ourselves.

Rounds 1-3 of rush are open, and Pref night is invite only (of course).

There are a total of 15 girls who came to rush, quota set at 5. Two out of the 15 didn't get invitied back at all to any pref parties. I am happy to say out of ther 13 that got call backs, all but 3 were ask back to us....and out of the 3 that weren't, two were only asked back to one, one of them being an in-house legacy that is for sure going to her sisters sorority.

Pref night is Monday night, followed by a short Bid Night. I will keep everyone updated on how we are doing

Sounds good. Can't wait to hear what happens on Monday. Formal recruitment is going on right now at State. I haven't been to any of the days yet, but I will be there tomorrow for preference, so I will be able to see how many girls came back to Beta Beta for pref. Bid night is on Monday. I will find out how many new sisters I/we have and will report to you when I find out that info. Or I am sure that MSUgreek or MsUsIgDeLt will be able to post that info for you.

Good luck! I am relly hoping we make quota + because we need the numbers and out of all 10 girls we invited back, I'd be happy to have all of them as sisters

Okay girls...I am proud to say that the AO chapter pinned 4 new members, and we have at least one COB event if not two more. I am in love with all four girls, and have a good idea who I want for a little. I will keeo you girls updated on our final number.

How did Beta Beta do?

First, a huge congrats to Alpha Omicron. I am excited that you got four new sisters. Buttonz, I know what you mean when you say you already know who you want as your lil. That was how I was a year and a half ago, when I got my lil.
Second, let me just say, that after every pref I love SDT even more. I got so teary eyed on Sunday at pref. It was fun being there on the alum side of things. I was there to help out where needed and I did my job.
Okay, bid night was last night. BB handed out 4 bids. I don't know how many accepted their bids. I know at least one accepted though. I was at work (I work in a dorm) and saw my house pull up to pick up the new member. It was exciting to hear them chant down the hallway. They have several COB's planned for the next two weeks.

Congrats! Can I ask what quota was?

Everyone seems to think that out of the four girls, the one girl I really didn't get the chance to know would be a perfect fit for me, so I guess we will see who I get at a lil, although I am superexcited and that girl is going ot be spoiled rotten.

We have at least one COB event planned, we would like ot get it up to 7-8 girls.

I love pref night!

Total results: The Alpha Zeta New Memeber class has 7 girls!!! I am soooo excitied!

I know that this is a thread for Alpha Omicron, but I figured that I would post how Beta Beta is doing. As of yesterday, the Alpha Omicron pledge class at BB had 12 girls, plus there was another COB last night, so I don't know what the total of new girls is right now. I will edit/update when I find out...

ETA that BB pinned 12 NM's last Monday

Great news for the AO chapter....a girl that was orignally in our AE pledge class that had to drop cus of family decided she wanted back in....meaing the AZ pledge class is up to 8. She was my lil before she dropped and I love her and am glad to have her back!

Here is the deal: We have 8 NM's and 9 active sisters. We don't want the NME to have a lil. One of the actives can't afford a lil and wants to work on the bond btwn her and her first lil. So I said that I will take both. I have a bond already with NM A (my orignal little that dropped) and I talk to her all the time. With NM B (who they want to give me) I am the perfect match for. I think I should be allowed to take both, but the Pres (who is taking her 3rd lil although she doesn't want to), and the NME disagree. I am trying to get the Ass. NME on my side however.

I would go ahead and let you have both of your lil's. I mean, you already have a bond with NM A and everything. She was already in your family and is part of all of your traditions that go with your family. And they/you want NM B to be your lil also, so I say go for it and fight to have both lil's. If the Pres doesn't want one, then tell her that it's like you taking her lil that she doesn't want. (Just re-read that and it sounded bad as if the NM wasn't wanted, but you know what I mean

). I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you will be able to get both NM's A and B!!

As of what I heard earlier tonight, they want to give me NM B, and only NM B. I am fighting if they will only give me one to get NM A because I really want her. Big/Lil night is Sat night so we need to figure this out soon

Family trees are taken seriously but there are no tradtions etc that are major within them. However, as seeing as how most of my sisters end up with more then one little, and people that got in after me are up for second littles, and the Prez (my pledge sister) is up for her third, I think I should be allowed to take two.

Is there a reason that they are only wanting to give you NM B? I mean, if you are willing to take both of the NM's and there are girls that can't/won't take lil's this term for whatever reasons, it makes sense to me that you should be able to get the two girls that you want.

They rather give the NME a little then give someone two littles in one semester
