Here are a few ideas I have heard of:
Kiss Off for Cardiac Care: Contestants buy $5 raffle tickets to “kiss” a scooter, and the participant left standing takes the new scooter home. Local businesses donated raffle prizes.
Other food related events like a Pancake Feed hosted with another group or an Alpha Phi-esta All You Can Eat Taco Dinner - invite entire campus community or other greeks for a "late night" event.
Crush Can sales for Cardiac Care Week or Valentine's Day
A twist on the "penny wars" contest - hold a Quarter Mile of Quarters fundraiser, collecting quarters from individuals and campus organizations.
Planning a 5K run or walk on campus
Check out the popular restaurants in your area - many have programs where they will donate a percentage of your bill to the charity or organization of your choice.
Panera has a great program, called "Operation Dough-Nation" or "Dough for Funds"

Baja Fresh coupon fundraiser idea - It's easy. All you have to do is show up, eat, and we will donate 15% of the net proceeds from the event to your organization. Contact the Restaurant Manager at the location nearest you and begin planning your next fundraising event today.

This is an idea from the Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic - A local cheescake vendor was contacted, order forms were prepared, marketing was conducted, and the cheesecakes were delivered to the April meeting, labeled for each buyer. This APH earned $4 for each cheesecake sold, with "very little work on our part."
This could be done with an other food or flowering items.
And here is a great index of DIY fundraisers -
