Your Favorite TV Show?
I'm looking to buy my boyfriend a season of a TV show on DVD so he can watch it while he is working out. I don't really watch TV enough to pick out a good one. What would you guys get? What is your favorite show, or a show that you think would be good to watch while you are working out? I was thinking about 24.... is that a bad idea?

Do you know what he likes to watch? Hang out with him and see what he watches.
Me telling you what I would want isn't helpful. I don't think your boyfriend would want to watch Project Runway on DVD.

ditto KSUViolet. But if you can't figure it out by hanging out with him, Lost is usually a safe bet. Pretty broad appeal, and it's one that you need to watch chronologically to get into, so the entire season=thumbs up.

My brothers are both into Heros.
As for "older" series, they both watched Alias when it was on.

Most guys like Family Guy. Probably couldn't go wrong there.

Agreed, we have no idea what your boyfriend would like.... 24, Heroes, and LOST are all shows that both guys and girls enjoy and they are worth the money for the seasons...

Entourage also has very broad appeal
Mad Men is excellent, but not everyone is going to like it.

Herein lies the trouble with this sort of general advice; for example, I've never seen either Heroes or Lost, and have no inclination to start watching them. It may turn out he's got similar tastes. I'm much more into "The Office" and "House."
That said, another point...the only time when I didn't mind watching TV while working out is when I was on the treadmill. Other than that, I found TV distracting.

House and How I Met Your Mother are the winners with the males around here, for whatever that might be worth.
