SMU Recruitment is here! Here is the schedule:

MANDATORY PNM INFO SESSION #3 (ORIENTATION) - JANUARY 8
OPEN HOUSE (DAYS 1 & 2) - JANUARY 9 & 10
PHILANTHROPY DAY (DAY 3) - JANUARY 11
SISTERHOOD DAY (DAY 4) - JANUARY 12
PREFERENCE DAY (DAY 5) - JANUARY 1
BID DAY! - JANUARY 14

Alpha Delta Pi will be involved with open house round of recruitment then host their separate recruitment and bid day in late January. As always, I wish everyone going through and whoever is involved directly good luck!

Any idea how many PNM’s signed up for recruitment? I wondered if Theta’s absence might cause fewer to sign up.

No word yet. I know quota last year with in the high 80's, and chapters will post their #'s. And yes those who wanted to join "the society" (huge discussion about that whole thing http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...d.php?t=248603). And there might be some PNMs who might want to be an ADPi charter member and is choosing not to rush.

I feel like the PNMs who were so dead set on Theta that they wouldn't sign up for recruitment without it wouldn't have accepted a bid anywhere else anyway, so it will even out.

So SMU is the big rush that tik tok users are latching onto, and one girl does price breakdowns of the outfits the PNMs are wearing. I saw one and it cost less than the new car my parents just purchased. :O

When I typed in "SMU Sorority Rush 2024" on Tiktok the first thing that showed up was "The Society"! How weird!

Yeah they're conducting recruitment now at the same time as actual sorority recruitment. But I suppose anyone wanted to get involved with that don't care about being in an official sorority...

FWIW, Oscar winning Kathy Bates was a SMU ADPi.

SMU sororities received their pledges this afternoon I believe. Anybody know how each group did? And did The Society pick up any girls?

OK, Pi Phi is reporting that they took 65 new members.

That's a big drop from the high 80s last year. I wonder why?

I guess that quota is around that number but I don't know why it's lower. If Pi Phi or Kappa hadn't taken quota, the whole world would have been notified by the other sororities.
