Whistle

I'm not sure if any of you know this, but I found it quite interesting. Did you know that when Delta Zeta was founded there used to be a secret whistle? I'm not quite sure why we don't use it anymore...and our chapter just recently found out that there was one. Just thought it would be some new info that you might not have known before

Hi!
Yup I know the whistle, but I can't figure out a way to describe it by typing. It's not secret or ritual so it's fun to tell people about. It's 4 notes: 2 low, then one high, then one just under the high note. It's easy to whistle

OK...for the pseudo musically inclined, from what Tracy describes (and my very, very poor memory) if you think of tones in terms of numbers (each number moves up a note), it goes something like 1-1-8-6 or 1-1-6-4 (don't remember how high the high note is!)...I think...but it's been a long time since I've heard it, so I could be a note or two off! I'm playing the thing in my head, and have 2 versions in there....

Tracy-you can send digital video w/sound. Why don't you whistle it for us, while taping yourself and let us all hear? Hee Hee.

Andi I think you are taking advantage of my digi-expertise. (ha!) I probably could float one around, however, I am not sure how to do it here. Maybe I will be a geek and send on on Surfing Sisters.

Wow, I'm surprised that all of you know about the whistle. I've been active for two years and just discovered it, and I still don't know how to do it...although I have a better idea now since it was explained How did you guys learn about it? Noone in my chapter knows how to do it or why it isn't used much anymore...actually we just discovered we had one last week.
