Nope.

Maybe at one time, but I would leave that trivia to the Notorious NutBrn!

No, I'm not aware that we have ever had a Mom's pin.

Chi O Creations does have sweatshirts & stuff that says "Chi Omega Mom."

Chi O Creations website

(We do have a "Friendship Pin" which is given out only by the National President at the Convention banquet to special male friends -- e.g., Governing Council husbands, our attorney, etc.)

LOL, I have several of the mom shirts! But since AOII has a mother's pin, I'd hoped to get a Chi O Mom pin to go with it!

I've got an idea...why not just wear the Chi O Mom shirt with your Pi Phi badge & your AOPi Mom's pin?

I'm sorry to crash, but if Carnation gets all her due Mother's Pins, she'll have to reinforce the shoulders of all of her blouses to wear them! Otherwise, I can just see the one side drooping like a drunken sailor!!

General Idi Amin Dada Oumee ( May 17, 1928 ? - August 16, 2003 ) was the military dictator of Uganda from January 25, 1971, to April 13, 1979.

"He began wearing so many medals his shirts would often tear from the weight."

In all seriousness, some DAR ladies have to have their dresses reinforced, or have a small slit put in the shoulder so they can wear all of their pins (with an under-dress holster of sorts):

I have to admit, I don't know her, but she does look cute. I just googled DAR and looked under Texas. I'd hate to have her hit me with her pin sash, though!

LOL, you should see my baby birthstone necklace. I can't wear it with a collarless shirt because it grinds into the back of my neck.

Well, maybe I'll be wearing yet a third sorority's "mom shirt" come this fall!

OMG THAT'S FLORENCE!!!!

She's the current State Regent of Texas. Little lady, lots of pins, very well read and well spoken - best speeches on aspects of American history I have ever heard. And don't EVER piss her off!!! (I saw it happen once to some poor chicky boo who got snotty with her - not funny!) I swear she makes laser beams come out of her eyes, but you get her talking on history, or DAR and she's your best friend forEVA.

<hijak for anyone who cares and doesn't already know>
The 4-wide DAR ribbons (that's the most you're allowed to have in a row) are often made with bars across the top so they can be worn evenly. Most women only wear these with suits because of the weight. They don't just hand you those pins, they are serious work. In most formal situations with light or strapless dresses, most of us will only wear the main insignia - the wheel at the bottom of the ribbons- alone or with the highest ranking pin. (Yes, there's an order to them.)

This is all at the front of my head 'cause Georgia State Conference starts tomorrow afternoon and I'm a personal page. Dusting off the white gowns again........
