Vibes, thoughts, prayers, whateva needed for Washington Preceptor Alpha Xi chapter
Yes sisters, I am a member of the aforementioned chapter. I just got a call this morning from our VP about our president Trish McCaffery. She has recently been complaining about migraines. Yesterday she went to the doctor and found out why: she has a malignant brain tumor. She was operated on and is in ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham. That is all I know for now. She has 3 kids under 8 (including a set of twins). Please keep her, the family and our chapter in your thoughts.
Thy sister,
Jill

Good news
I got this email from one of my sisters:
She is in the hospital all drugged up, but good news is, she is going home on Saturday. Kathy and Alice are going to her home at about 3:30 today to help clean house for her arrival. Trish's sister is still here and her brother flew in. Kathy and Alice are taking buns and cold meat slices to stock the refrigerator for the kids and company. The church has meals lined up for about 6 weeks. I would like to find out if Trish needs help doing the bookkeeping for her husband's business. Then we could call the volunteer center and get someone for her. If her husband is okay with that. They may not need it.
I wish I could go to help but I work 3-11 today

Continued prayers for Trish and family.

I missed the meeting the other night, due to some bad news in my family. (My old man who lives back East had a stroke on Tuesday) I heard she starts radiation and it will give her about an extra year or so
I will get details soon. She emailed me last night

Not good news
Trish got the test results back.
Her cancer is stage 4. Translation: Terminal
They gave her about a year to live. Right now her husband is kinda in denial. How do you prepare a husband and 3 boys under 8 for the inevitable?

i'm sorry to hear that Jill My cousin Shelley was diagnosed a few years back with breast cancer. They didnt think she was goingt o make it but she somehow went into remission. Unfortunately, a year ago the cancer has come back in her lung, the other breast, and somewhere in her esophagus. All four of her children are between the ages of 4 and 12-two girls and two boys.
I will pray for your friend.
