It's been quite awhile, but give this a try...

Get a twin size flat sheet
Hold it vertically (long way up and down) behind you, one hand on each top corner
Bring corners under your arms, cross at your chest and secure behind your neck.
Wrap one side of the front over the other, secure
Tie a sash of some sort around your waist.

Ta Da!

we had a toga exchange last year. a lot of people used sheets, but some of us used fabric that we got a wal-mart for like $2 a yard. i even got some nice cords to tie around my waist. a lot of the girls got fabric with crazy colors and paterns. they made 2 piece togas---very hot!

Emperor's Toga

Do girls wear anything under the toga?

--If I was drunk and had to figure out how to untie the toga and unhook the bra, I don't know what I'd do.

get 3 yards of fabric, easier and you can throw away the dirty fabric if you want to.

Please do not wear a bra with your toga. If it is made properly you won't need one.

I have to agree... no bras with togas... tacky...

Like I said, we usually wore bikinis (unless we were being a little racy and went without)... and they had to be bandeau tops so no straps showed...

One of our pledges got dubbed Toga Barbie; she's tall and blonde and her toga was this sparkly pink fabric that came to some kind of pouf on her shoulder--it looked really nice, yet not stupid; she got a lot of compliments. What stuck out was the pink--two other freshmen she went with wore the sparkly fabric, one in purple, one in silver... what fun

Then there are always a variety of two piece togas, some with edging and stuff--some get very elaborate, others just a bedsheet tied at the last minute lol Mainly the elaborate ones are ones that get passed down to other people throughout a chapter so it's like they got added on to through the years and then remains a chapter costume *shrug*

I didnt' go this year--I was sick for our big Greek Week toga party Just hanging out on the deck with two people smoking was killing my lungs and so there was no way I was going to go to an inside *party*... ugh. But oh, well.. I missed out on the fun Next year hopefully it will be at Phi Kaps (was always much better there--they throw GREAT parties!) and I will be sure to be there (as it is I hardly leave the place lol) Gosh I love those guys.

I made a toga for a party a few years ago. I made it out of tie dyed fabric...it was pink, yellow, all the bright colors. It was awesome!

I still have it hanging in my closet. Hopefully I'll be able to break it out and wear it again.

Thumbs up

Hehe,

Kappa, an even better night is when it's 5 am and you're wearin a toga and a cowboy hat!! I just happen to have one here for ya

Either that, or a good night is when it's 5 am and your toga's on the floor next to your bed But i won't go into that! Hope you had a great night. But....you'd have had a better night with your Texas Wing buddies :P

Kitso
KS 361 toga parties i've been to since i've been Greek!
