Phi Beta Sigma goes Hollywood, Nine notable men to be inducted this Friday

Nine notable figures in the entertainment and medical industries will receive Honorary Membership in Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. on Friday, February 26, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California.
Heading the list of inductees is Leon Ndugu Chancler, jazz funk drummer, composer and producer. In 2006 he became an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of Southern California and teaches at the Stanford Jazz Workshop. (The bolded are my faves.)
Lorenzo (Larry) R. Dunn
Keyboardist, musical director and a founding member of the music group Earth, Wind & Fire. He is the owner of Source Productions, creator of music for TV, film and commercials.
Jay King
Record producer, performer, and founder of the music group Club Nouveau. He is the founder of the Professional Domino Association.
Al McKay
Guitarist, songwriter and former member of Earth, Wind & Fire. He is the founder of the musical group Al McKay’s All Stars.
Ernie Singleton
Humanitarian, former President of Urban Music, MCA Records and CEO of Singleton Entertainment Group.
Verdine White
Bass guitarist and a founding member of Earth, Wind & Fire.
Dr. Richard Allen Williams
Author, professor and Founder of the Association of Black Cardiologists. He is also the President and Founder of The Minority Health Institute and named one of the 15 African American Pioneers in Cardiology.
Reginald Hudlin
Film director, writer, actor and producer. He directed the films House Party, Boomerang, The Great White Hype, and The Ladies Man. He is the former President of Entertainment for BET.
Stephen D. Barnes, Esq.
Entertainment attorney and philanthropist. He is a Partner with Barnes Morris Klein Mark Yorn Barnes & Levine.
