Greeks doing good

Thought it would be nice to have a thread regarding Greeks and alumni doing good things.

Troy Aikman, UCLA SAE, donated $1 million to the UCLA football program.
The strength and conditioning facility will be named after him.

I'm not an ATO, although was friends with several of them in school because their house was on the next block, but I found this recent news story about one of their chapters doing something positive for their community.

Each GLO organization has at least one MAJOR CHARITY which is fantastic!

My LXA chapter at PSU does this in the fall for Our National Food Drive which is The biggest in the world.

Each Semester they find older people and clean up their property.
They also are a Keep America Beautiful for a stretch of highway clean up each year.
Some other things I cannot think of off hand!

But each of our chapters gather Millinons of dollars each year!

This doesn't count. I belong to a large school's season ticket club and pay several K for being another number. A alum just donated 10 million and a whole building is named for him. A corporation gets constant ads in the school paper and on campus because they own a suite. Charity has become self serving. Donate to cancer don't buy a legacy. Besides, if they build a new facility in 20 years it will just be named after the biggest check writer.
