From Nov 17-20, Gamma Chapter, the Boston area undergraduate chapter, will celebrate its centennial in Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel and at other sites in the Boston area. The idea of a chapter in Boston came from Omega Psi Phi Founder, Edgar A. Love, when he was a graduate student at the School of Theology of Boston Univ. Gamma Chapter has had a storied history with a rich pool of accomplished initiates.
One such alumnus is Bro. Oliver (Keith) Baker, Ph.D., Professor of Physics at Yale Univ., and the the director of the A.W. Wright Nuclear Structure Laboratory (WNSL) at Yale. He is a world-renowned particle physicist who worked on the Higgs Boson ("God particle"). He pledged Gamma Chapter while a student at MIT. The following link is an interview with him in his native Arkansas.
