Academic enthusiasm

I was wondering if there are any former Exec members around here who can give me some ideas! I'm trying to get our chapter more enthusiastic about academics and more driven to raise their grades. We had a lot of girls on probation and who did not achieve good grades. We don't really have a better plan besides study hours for those with a low GPA. I really want to raise our chapter to the Phi level, but I don't know how to make girls care about going to class and doing their homework. Any suggestions? Little awards, recognitions, games, anything?

There are two things my chapter does.
Brilliant Beta awards - an A or B on a test, quiz, or paper. Whoever has the most at the end of the semester gets recognized at our scholarship dinner. The Brilliant Beta awards get hung up in our dining room...they're little ellison machine ribbons.
"No Skippy Jar" - If you don't skip a class all week, put your name in the jar. A couple of names get drawn each week, and they get an hour knocked off of study hours.

Oh! Also - use your AAC and regional team. I know that the region 3 counterparts love hearing from their execs, and are always willing to offer advice. They've seen many successful programs in their time, and have plenty of ideas stored away.

we do a smarty pants competition where girls are put onto teams and they compete to get the most A's for their team and then the winning team gets some kind of award at the end of the year.

my sorority has come up with two ways of rewarding our sisters.

if you get an a on an exam or a paper over 5 pages, you can enter yourself in a drawing. every 2 weeks a winner is picked and they win a starbucks gift card. you can enter as many times as a's you have received.

if you skip classes, you must put a quarter in the skip jar for every class you missed.
