Sorority collects soda tabs for Ronald McDonald House
The Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority is sponsoring a semester-long soda tab collection to help raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House for Children.
The Ronald McDonald House for Children builds and provides free housing for families of children receiving medical treatment in hospitals across the country.
This week, the sorority decorated and distributed tab collectors to each of GW's Greek-letter groups and plans to collect the tabs periodically throughout the semester for recycling.
"Alpha Epsilon Phi has been looking for a way to open up our philanthropy and community service on campus. This is a great way to get our name out there and help organizations other than Elizabeth Glazier," Alpha Epsilon Phi President Leah Bloomberg said.
The Elizabeth Glazier Pediatric AIDS Foundation is the sorority's national philanthropy.
This semester Alpha Epsilon Phi will restrict the tab collection to Greek-letter organizations, Bloomberg said. In the future, the sorority plans to expand the recycling project to all students and the University's administrative offices.

LOL - The ADPi's do this 24/7, 365!! Rumor has it that you can tell that we've been to a party when you look at the trash and all the tabs are gone! Ronald McDonald House is our International Philanthropy!

I'm curious how you guys make money off this for the Ronald McDonald house?
Do the recycling centers in your area pay for these soda tabs? If so, is it a useful amount?
Just curious, because this seems like something easy my fraternity could do.
