Advice for Rushees

I just finished up rush, although I was unsuccessful, a girl I talked to during one of the parties offered me the best advice about ranking when the time came to do so.

I asked her what made you choose *blank* sorority and she told me the following (it's paraphased): I really saw these girls as people who can hang out, be comfortable with and most of all the organization and its members reflect who I am.

To some that maybe vague advice but the way I thought of it is if you feel comfortable and see part of you through that sorority and that may indicate the best fit for you. You do not have "change yourself so you can fit in."

I just wanted to share that with everyone b/c I know it will benefit all PNMs now and in the future.

This is similar to the advice a lot of GCers give:

Don't look at the girls in their pretty black dresses with shiny hair and imagine that you could be one of them. Envision the same girls in their pajamas coming to your apartment with ice cream at 3 in the morning because you just broke up with your boyfriend. If you can see that, it's where you belong.
