Graduation stoles?
Does anyone know of a good vendor (local, national, whatever) that will customize and sell stoles for graduation? My chapter's graduating seniors are looking to have stoles this year and I'd love to know if there's any vendor that does a good job for a decent price? If anyone knows of a vendor in the LA-Orange-Riverside-San Bernardino-San Diego county areas, that would be awesome! Thanks!

Stoles
We are also looking for stoles in TN. Ideas on where we could look are welcomed as well!
Thanks!

Just an idea that came to me while reading your posts:
Don't limit yourself to collegiate supply houses. You may find what you need in religious supply companies that provide robes, stoles, etc, for clergy.
Sounds weird, but it might do the trick. Good luck!

I haven't found anywhere to get the stoles at, but I know at my school we usually make felt letters and attach them to the top of the cap...if anyone does have any ideas for the stoles though, I'd love to know!

This has been discussed in the Greek Life forum. I think some vendors may have been mentioned there:

Stoles in the LA Area--I am an alumna from Cal Poly, Pomona. There is a greek store called Greek Forum in Pomona that I bought my stole from. They did a great job with it! Their address is:
3580 Temple Avenue Suite H
Pomona, Ca 91768
(909) 444-0110
The owner's name is Denise, she is a sorority alumna as well!
Hope this helps!

Thank you so much everyone for all your help! CntryZTA5, I'll definitely try the store in Pomona. I'm in Riverside, and sometimes driving to Fullerton or Stanton is just too far for Greek merchandise (those were the closest good stores I've known of until now!). I'll have to check that out! Thanks again!

We have been doing senior stoles for a while. One year we had them made by a company in Africa, if you go that way make sure you do them early, our letters got messed up. The last two years, we have have a seamstress make them. We got the design together drew a sample and worked with the woman (actually a mother of a sister) to do them. They cost about $25 each.
If you'd rather buy, just search "Greek Stoles" at like yahoo, you'll get a bunch. But they look awesome! The other houses on campus were jealous and have started doing it now
Good Luck!

oh yea! if you are gonna have them made, see if you can get a sample from someone or from a company that does them. We had a hard time ordering them online cause we are small and NPC. NPHC tons of choices

Hi There,
Greek Escape which is right next to USC's Greek Row does some beautiful stoles. She has tons of books with pictures in them and my sisters have ordered from Robin as well. I would highly recommend them, you know they wouldn't have been in business as long as they have if they didn't do a good job.
Greek Escape is located at
2801 S Figueroa
Los Angeles, CA 90007
213-747-4442
The owners are Robin and Ted Nicholas and they are absolute sweethearts. If they don't have something they will try and order it in if at all possible. They have a seamstress that does all their stoles.
let me know if you contact them or go by their store.
Carolyn

Thanks phisigduchesscv! I've been to Greek Escape before and I loved it there! But I was under the impression (maybe I'm wrong) that they only do group orders for stoles? I don't know if my senior class will all want to go in on it and I know the Delt seniors are trying to do it, too, but there's only a few of them. I'll try calling though! Thanks!

hi again,
my sisters ordered individually from the Greek Escape and it was only 2 or 3 sisters so definitely call Robin and ask her.

Wow.. I thought all the GLO's manufactured them? Delta Sigma Pi has graduation cords and stoles that members can customize and order online through their website.
