Philathropy day craft ideas

Hi everyone- I'm new to this forum! I just wanted to see if anyone has a great idea for a philanthropy day activity- right now, my chapter decorates bags for CASA volunteers to give to the children, but we are looking for a less messy idea... any suggestions are welcome! thanks!

Idea

Hi! I'm the recruitment advisor for Theta at the College of Charleston and we're planning on doing something new next year. I'd be glad to share it with you but I don't want to post it on here because someone from another chapter at our school might see it. I didn't see a way to email or pm you so if you get in touch with me I'll tell you all about it (and a few other ideas I've seen).

Loyally,
April

At my school, we make those fleece blankets that consist of just two piece of fleece on top of each other, and then you tie little knots all around the edges. Here are directions and a picture: http://www.exploringwomanhood.com/ho.../pom-jan03.htm

Also, I've heard of chapters taking regular ballpoint pens, attaching fake pansies to the top, and then using that green gardening tape to attach them (so the pen looks like the pansy's stem). They always have these at Jo-Ann's by the registers if you're not sure what I'm talking about.

My chapter has done that at a sisterhood event for CASA. We also have made picture frames for kids that are transition out of the foster care system. This was suggested to us by a local CASA worker.

I would contact your local CASA, and try to see what their needs are!
