Thumbs up

I just checked out your page real quick... looks good! I also checked out the local sororites that were on my campus... only 1 of them was listed (Zeta Pi Lambda @ Capital University), but they were always my favorites

Keep up the good work, locals deserve as much respect as nationals do!!

The other local sororities are Pi Phi Epsilon and Chi Theta Pi

Yep, that's it.. it's a real small school! (There's only 3 local fraternities, too.. how convienent. There are 4 national GLO's, 2 are coed, 1 is a fraternity, and 1 is a service sorority, although my senior year they were about extinct, only 3 members )

I don't know of either of them having a website, but I didn't know the Zeta's did until I saw it on your site!

Hey localsororities, I just wanted to say that you have an awesome website! Did you design it yourself? I wanted to email you privately, but for some reason it wouldn't let me.

While I am in a Fraternity, I can understand the reasomning for the founding of a local. I was kicked out of Sigma Chi and started my on local Fraternity. I felt the need for commardship. With in a year we affiliated with Lambda Chi Alpha and never looked back. We also helped a Soroity start as a local and they had a chance to affilate with a National but did not. They are no longer at campus. Iam sorry thatthey didnot work out and had often wondered if there had been something like this IF Beta Chi (MY LOCAL) could have been something much greater. I am from a campus thatis only 6 % Greeks so it is tough for a National let alone for a local to survive. My copliments to each and everyone of you who have succeeded! Tom Earp LXZ # ! Lambda Chi Alpha Pitt. State. U. Kansas

Question

Tom, your post raised a question..

I know that once you're a member of an NPC sorority or an NPHC org, you cannot join another one, under any circumstances.

I believe that LXA & Sigma Chi are both members of NIC (correct me if I'm wrong!), so I wondered if there were any rules like this among NIC fraternities? It just seems that there would be.

Yo, I was never initiated in SC. Kicked out as a pledge. I am also a member of Alpha Phi omeg but that is a service fraternity. It is true that supposedly once you are a member of a International Fraternity you can never join another but what of the many that went through pledge ship and never went active or got kicked out, that is a ? I cannot answer. Maybe someone can fill us both in.

Tom-

I didn't realize you weren't actually initiated into SC, so I think that answers my question. Thanks!
