Wow! This is fantastic!!
I think Joe will be our first proper male PNAM ever! AggieDoc, who was on GC a few years ago, was also interested in AI; but, I don't think he ever got around to it. I'd have to go back and check.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how Joe fares!

Neat, for Joe!!
Yes Fraternitys do AI but not that seldom. Well, refraze that, NPIC Greek Fraternitys do it a lot more often as many schools that they are on have small Chapters.
Wish him good luck from all of us and would be interested if it happens who He AIed with!
I think the Sororitys are much fartehr ahead of Fraternitys on this thing of AI!

"Hi, my name is Joe
And I work in a button factory
I have a wife and a fam-i-ly.
One day my boss ... he said Joe "Are you busy?"
I said NO.
Can you press this button with your right hand."
Well.... my name isn't "Joe" - it's Mike.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's been quite an interesting ride and it's only been a few weeks. It's a great chapter and I know that my time will be well spent. The guys are great and I've been welcomed from the start. As things progress I'll be sure to keep everyone updated.
Thanks again everyone!
Mike

Welcome Mike! (I remember singing the "Hello, my name is Joe" song in camp many thousands of years ago. ) Glad things are going well and can't wait to hear about your progress.

Hi Mike!
Thanks for logging in and joining us! We're really interested in your story as we've never had a man seriously attempt AI before. Best of success to you! I'm sure you'll become a great asset to the Bucs!

Forward progress. I've been involved with as many things as possible (given that lots of stuff is closed door to me) as a chapter advisor. I'm waiting on training materials from their HQ so I can get a look at how they manage things. So, basically I'm attempting to immerse myself as much as possible.

how do you measure progress?
Over the past few weeks I have been working with the chapter with direct contact with HQ and have received quite a bit of direction and enthusiasm. I've never been one for lots of volunteer work but this doesn't seem much like work. I found it exciting to be working with a national group that holds the same ideals as myself. Thanks to everyone that has provided guidance up to this point. Good luck to those pursuing AI; it can be a blast, but expect a long road.

Hey Mike,
I'm sorry that it seems to not be working out with the "Bucs". The fact that you've given so much thought and consideration to an organization's ideals tells me that you are a man of character.
If you're still feeling a connection with the Bucs, perhaps there is another chapter you can work with which may be different than the previous one?
No matter what, the best of success to you!
.....Kelly
