Kappa Sigma at U South Alabama Suspended in Alleged Beating

The Associated Press reports that the Kappa Sigma chapter at the University of South Alabama has been suspended by Kappa Sigma HQ and is also being investigated by police and the University. Allegedly a young man was beaten. Kappa Sigma HQ apparently may take further action at a meeting in late March, depending on the findings of their investigation.

Something doesn't sound right about this one. The man who was beaten had once tried to join the fraternity (but hadn't.. have to wonder why?). YET, he was at their house at 3 am? What would he be doing there at 3 am? Why be there at all if he had "once tried to join the fraternity" (but hadn't)? Seems odd.
