Meet me at the Arch!

Anyone attending Convention this year?

Alpha Chi Omega's 57th biennial Convention will be celebrated in
St. Louis, Missouri, July 13-16, 2012!

I am so excited that Jan Langbein will be speaking. I heard her speak this fall about her work to end domestic violence. She was amazing!

I'll be there! I haven't been to convention since Chicago, so I'm excited to be back.

I'm lane swerving because I love my home town.

If you're going to be in St. Louis, you might be interested in checking out these things:

City Garden

City Musuem (not really a musuem, more of a playground/art installation)
http://www.citymuseum.org/site/

Restaurants in the Washington Avenue Loft District

The Loop

Central West End

Also, the Zoo is free and is one of the top 10 in the country.

Sunday brunch at the Boathouse in Forest Park is decent. http://www.boathouseforestpark.com/restaurant.php

If you're into archeology, Cahokia Mounds is a world heritage site.

The biggest mall that is close to downtown is the Galleria in Clayton:

Ted Drewes Frozen Custard is a St. Louis institution

Man, I wish my group would have a convention in the Midwest. It seems that ours is ALWAYS somewhere in the South, which would be much more reasonable if it were in the wintertime.

We are lucky because we have an east, mid-west, west rotation. Keeps the troops happy!

Panhellenic love: Alpha Chi Omega and Alpha Gamma Delta have back to back conventions in the same hotel.... so we are using the same sound/video system.

One way to save money!

If you by any chance have kids with you, stop by the Magic House! I loved that place when I was younger
