*pardon the lane swerve*

out of my lane and into yours, to tell a story... about an Arizona Alpha Xi Delta and an Arizona Theta, who "met" on GC, stemming from a post by DartmouthPanhel. It is a Very Small World... because the two live within two miles of each other. Imagine that! We had coffee on Friday at Starbucks, and speaking for myself, I think I have found a new "panellenic sister"! I had a lot of fun talking with her and I drooled (figuratively) over her badges (yes, a little show and tell was in order). So, it is all about sisterhood, regardless of the letters, and I know I'll be seeing her again

*back into my own lane now*

And I enjoyed our meeting just as much ... I also liked seeing your badges and
the conversation was just as enjoyable. Always enjoy meeting new panhellenic sisters.
"No matter the letters, we're all greek together"

Loved talking about what it was like being greek in the 1970s ... we've come a long way, Baby ...

As soon as AzTheta said she "drooled" over the badges, I knew who the
AzAXiD was!!!

Every Convention, the rest of us gather to see what she has brought with her this time!

*bumping this because I have to share...*

AZ-Alpha Xi & I had lunch yesterday and... drum roll... I got a present! a black polo shirt with a cross stitched yellow kite. It is absolutely the cutest, and I can wear it now (hey, it's Arizona!). As soon as I can I'll post a photo to share. Gotta figure out how to take a decent picture, then upload it to this thread.

Az-Alpha Xi heard me whining and complaining about the dearth of "kite" items during the Panhellenic luncheon this past Saturday (i.e. there are keys, anchors, arrows, bears, feathers, penguins, dolphins, etc. but very few kites to be found). Lo and behold, she spent a (rare in AZ) rainy Sunday afternoon (the next day) and gifted me yesterday.

When you see it you are going to want one. I told AZ-Alpha Xi I'd be her rep...

Another update: the quill collection has a spectacular addition. That goes in another thread, I know, I know.

HEHEHE .. I'm so glad you liked it ... I love doing stuff like that .. cross stitch is my only creative (artsy) outlet ... I can follow a pattern with the best of 'em.

Loved our lunch yesterday .. just wish the patio had been in the sun so we could have sat outside .. ok .. I'm officially tired of the rain and cold :-)

Couldn't really find an appropriate thread for this, but whenever I shop and see something so (insert NPC sorority here), I have to tell all the GCers about it, especially after I made all those sets on polyvore. If there is a thread on Quill/Pink rose/bear/double blue and gold stuff, I apologize for not finding it; lots of "quill on ebay" etc. Anyway, I was shopping at Victoria's Secret and saw a print in their Body By Victoria line with a stripe pattern with light blue, dark blue, yellow, and pink between stripes of white. It's called "bombshell blue stripe". I'll just post the swatch in the interest of keeping the thread family friendly.
