In the past, my chapter has gotten a little inactive during the summer, no meetings or anything. But this summer, most of the guys are staying in town, and we are planning on having some partys and generally hanging out at the house.
last summer we had 2 brotherhood events (supposed to be 3 but some miscommunication happened and 1 fell through). It was pretty fun, but not a whole lot of ppl showed up, i think the most we had was 7.
We decided this year to have meetings once a week. since the majority of our chapter lives in or around New Orleans, we go to all you can eat buffets, eat our asses off then pull out our agendas and have our meetings there. We usually rotate them from one side of town to the other, this works awesome. It would be really cool if we could get the UNO \, and south eastern Louisiana TKEs to meet us there..........Blaise
for us, this is the best time to plan for next year. we're having a retreat, several small meetings, and we look for every excuse to get together and party. there is a lot more alumni/active interaction during the summer too. the lines seem to be a little more blurred when hagning at someone's place then being on the chapter premises. we have a minor league baseball game coming up too. our big plan is to have more alumni sponsored events during the summer too.
