I am out in California right now and am pretty serious about doing an internship at Hilton Head Island. Does anyone have any words about the area? I've heard its real nice out there and am looking to experience something new. Any info would be most helpful...Gracias Amigo/as
Hilton Head is gorgeous! It is a bit pricey to live there (particularly for younger people) but the golfing opportunities are renowned and the beach is fabulous. I have several sisters who live there and can give you more info if you need ideas about where to live and what's around!! Good luck with your move - it's a big transition! Have you ever lived in the south before?
Well part of the deal is that they provide a dorm like apartment, and pay all they utilities, im not if its on the island or not, I have never been out there. But I know its close to the ocean. Well I lived in Texas for 19 years before moving out here, not exactly the South but close enough. Thanks for the replies.
I think everyone else just about covered it. Hilton Head is really nice, but very expensive. I am actually closer to Myrtle Beach though. The only set back I can think of is all of the tourism and the traffic is pretty bad. If you are coming from the West, you might be in for a little culture shock to say the least.
