policies

not everyone has the same Risk management policy although I think most of the NPC groups fall into the "3rd party vendor" category. If I remember correctly, a few are only permitted to mix with the fraternities that have gone dry and there are 2-3 that just "support" the resolution.

It's not a UA but if your organization has those rules listed you should be following them or else you will more than likely be sanctioned by the larger organization that you belong to. There are chapters out in the middle of nowhere that make it work. You are not only opening up your officers and individuals to a great deal of liability by not following the rules but also the larger organization. If you aren't sure on the rules, I suggest that you locate your chapter advisor or the subsequent area advisor that works with them to ensure that you are following the rules.

Imagine if every chapter in your organization said, but we're from so and so, we don't have to follow the rules. I would suspect that you wouldn't make it very long because your insurance would be through the roof. When you signed your bid to your organization you agreed to live by the ideals of that organization and part of that ideology is to follow the organizations policies.

I'm off my soapbox now, but I have one more thing to say:

HAIL TO PITT!

Re: policies

I couldn't have said it better myself, fire1977!!

It's sometimes hard for undergraduates to understand, but there is not even ONE rule that anyone's Headquarters doesn't have a good reason for instilling.

If you want proof of this, simply compare any sorority Liability Insurance cost to any fraternity.

As for Pitt -- Go (Ohio University) Bobcats!
