Ok, I'm sure a bunch of you are wondering what's going on!
Originally at the beginning of this term I thought about informal rush, and thought I wouldn't have the time because of programming classes... however, I have changed my major and really want to be part of a sisterhood here on campus!!! I miss being part of something bigger than you, ya know?
I'm very excited.. I had my first rush event last Sunday, and I was VERY nervous and VERY scared.. but when I got there, I realized there was really nothing to be nervous or scared about!
I had an AMAZING time meeting all the sisters and talking to them about their experiences with "ABC" sorority and college in general. The girls there were all so nice and SO down-to-earth!!!
We had lunch and dessert, and did a couple of 'icebreakers' and then we talked a lot more about all sorts of things, and it was so refreshing to see a group of girls who were all unique, but at the same time, so close.
Overall, I can pretty much sum it up in one word: AMAZING!!!
We were all invited to their intramural game that was scheduled this last Monday, but due to our recent winter storm, events were cancelled, and they are planning on picking things up this weekend or next week.
After the first event was over, a lot of the sisters gave me their contact info just in case I had any questions, and I hope that was a good sign! I've talked to a couple of the sisters since then, mostly asking a zillion questions about ABC and how ABC is involved on campus.
So there's my story.. I know how much you GC'ers love rush threads.. so I'll keep you updated!
