Paris Hilton Sorority Movie
From entertainment.msn.com
Paris Pledges Sorority Pic
For someone who thought Wal-Mart sold "wall stuff," Paris Hilton seems to have accomplished much of what Mariah Carey hopes to do, namely master the many forms of media. Not only will the "Simple Life" star soon publish a book (her bio, "Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose," hits shelves on September 7) and release a single (the subtly titled "Screwed," which arrives this summer), but she's landed her very first starring role on the big screen. As you might have guessed, it's not exactly a part that will challenge Meryl Streep's performance in "Sophie's Choice." According to the New York Post, Paris will bring her thespian talents to the latest National Lampoon campus comedy.
In the flick, the attention-craving hotel heiress, who recently suffered through a small role in the horror movie "House of Wax" ("I hurt my knee -- it was bleeding," she told Entertainment Tonight. "But it looks good, so it's worth it."), will play the head of a snobby sorority whose motto is "be perfect." The movie is billed as a mix of "Animal House," "Revenge of the Nerds," and "American Pie," which we're hoping means Paris' likely bitchy and almost certainly scantily clad character will get her comeuppance by a pastry-loving, toga-wearing genius.

All of these GLO movies are good and bad for us. I'm not really sure where I fall on that issue. It's good because it keeps us in the national consciousness and bad because it gets people interested for the wrong reasons (often).
What actually pisses me off about this article more than anything is that it takes 3 pretty good pictures and tries to put an unproven, unseen message on par with them. I mean... on par with Animal House?
You're setting the bar way too high.

seriously,
why do we keep having to try and redo Animal House?
I mean, i dug Van Wilder, Old School and the others, but most of the time anything trying to emulate AH ends up falling flat.
Ever seen "Going Greek"? Perfect example.

Where have you been?
Anyway, this movie sounds like a great candidate for direct-to-video.

do you have the name of the movie you're describing??
I work in movie-retail, and so I get to read all the "trade" magazines that has upcoming releases.
One in particular I remember seeing was a National Lampoon movie called "Dorm Daze" that I don't think was ever released in theatres.
I didn't see anything on it about Paris Hilton though.

I actually don't mind these types of misleading movies or shows, and I don't mind Paris Hilton TOO much. But I hate the aftermath i am forced to deal with when everyone goes and sees the movie/show and asks me STUPID ASS QUESTIONS. I wish people would just get a clue.
