Should I join a Frat?
Hello,
I am really interested in the whole Greek scene; however, I am really bad at sports. I am in shape and all, I work out a few times a week, but any sport that involves hitting, throwing, kicking a ball I just suck at. I was told that a lot of the Greek life revolves around athletics. Do you think that I should still consider joining? Will I still be accepted even though I suck?
I do enjoy watching sports by the way.

Several things tell me you aren't real, but I'll still bite...
Greek Life does not revolve around sports. Athletics can be one aspect of the Greek experience, but there are other things involved. You need to do some research.

It depends what school you are at and what chapter you join. There usually is such a thing as a "jock" fraternity at every campus, but there are also the "420" and "WoW" fraternities.

i think you should! i mean i know i'm in a sorority but greek life is great!! i LOVE it.. all the frats on my campus are really cool.. greek life is HUGE and my school the greeks really stand out like you can pick us out of the crowd which is walking around campus you know who is greek and who isn't lol
go for it.. what do you have to lose?

Upon arrival on campus view who is the most active and visible fraternity on campus. Keys to a successful campus fraternity would include sports, leadership, campus involvement, philanthropic and most important a sense of brotherhood. Is their an active alumni, alumni board/housing corp/ talk to the chapter adviser. what are their three and four year goals for growth and self development.
