Sigma Tau Gamma returned to the campus of East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, this semester with twenty-six campus leaders forming the new Provisional Chapter. Delta Alpha Chapter had been inactive at ECU since 1998.
Addison Schopp and Justin Leo of the Sigma Tau Gamma staff, in cooperation with Phired Up Productions, recruited the members of the new provisional chapter. The new group has already held its first initiation ceremony and first White Rose formal.
The new Delta Alpha Provisional Chapter members are Zachary Blank, Mitch Blankenship, Daniel Boyette, Travis Brown, Robert Connors, Benjamin Davey, Austin Dockery, Kevin Ellis, Kyle Farrell, Josiah Goodson, Jeffrey Hauser, Daniel Howell, Zach Lechette, Stephen Linsenmeyer, Robert Mendenhall, Robert Moore, Ben Noble, Joshua Peaks, Andrew Reynolds, Bryan Seifert, Matthew Stallings, Lawrence Webb, David White, Alex Williams, Robert Writtenberry and Matt Yansom.
Alex Williams is the new provisional chapter President. He is aided by Executive Vice President Bobby Wittenberry, who will assist with agenda development, weekly executive board meetings, and the creation of a record of progress toward the preparation of the charter petition.
Ben Noble as Vice President of Membership has his sights set on a strong recruitment drive over the summer and into fall semester. The provisional chapter goal is to reach 45 to 50 members next semester. Robert (Ben) Mendenhall plans to focus on community service projects as Vice President of Programs. Josiah Goodson will manage the money as Vice President of Finance.
Alex Davis, Assistant Director of Student Activities, is the Faculty Advisor and was initiated as an honorary member with the college members. Alex is twice an alumnus of East Carolina University.
