Opening Day ~ MLB 2006
Tonight, the world champion Chicago White Sox will battle the Cleveland Indians, opening up the 162-game regular season of Major League Baseball. Most teams will start play Monday.
Screw the World Baseball Classic, screw Spring Training! The Regular Season is here!!!!!
If I have my way, I'll be at Kauffman in one week watching the Royals play the White Sox. But for sure, I'll be in Chicago at the end of the month rooting for my cubs!

I can't wait - I got invited to go to Opening Day of the Padres' season on Monday evening with a friend
Now, hope that it doesn't get rained out!

My friend invited me to Phillies opening day, but I couldn't go due to the fact that she talked to me about this on too short of notice and plus...I just had a lot of things going on today...classes...choir rehearsal...meetings...the usual humdrum routine. Bummer. Oh well. Maybe we can go there another time. I'm not much of a baseball fan but today I saw clips on the news from opening day and I really wanted to be there.

So the Yankees went off on Zito last night. I wasn't expecting that.

The Phillies started off in fine fashion.
Every year I think maybe I won't be disappointed.

No matter what, you'll get to watch Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins every day. That's not such a bad thing.
