Post Favorite CD

What is everyone's favorite CD?

I have two and they are kind of funny that it is these particular two. They are Biggy's Life after death (both disc's) and Tupac's Greatest HIts (again Both disc's)
For those of you not in the know, it is just funny because of the whole east-west thing. OK so maybe not funny, maybe ironic?

PS--I did a search!!!!!Can you tell that I am totally procrastinating from studying for finals. I am posting topic's like GC is going out of style. I hate Accounting!

HA HA I've been doing that for a week now and I have a HUGE program due on friday....not even close to being finished. Plus all of my finals starting next week.

Oh yeah the subject.....I will have to go with Journey's Greatest Hits, K's Choice (Paradise in Me) and when I am feeling sexy, Diana Krall's Love Scene's.

Cool

I love this topic... I'm a music fanatic!

My music taste also varies by the day, so here are my 10 all-time fave CD's (no particular order) which may change at any time:
  • Cake Fasion Nugget
  • Squirell Nut Zippers Hot!
  • Dave Matthews Band Before These Crowded Streets
  • Barenaked Ladies Gordon (I hated BNL until I saw them in concert)
  • The Cure Disentegration
  • Live Throwing Copper
  • U2 The Best of 1980-1990
  • Dave Matthews Band Crash
  • Alanis Morrisette Jagged Little Pill
  • Billy Joel Greates Hits Vol. 1&2 (it comes as a set, so it counts as one)

Other CD's that would be in the top 15:
  • Paul Simon Graceland
  • Tracy Chapman Crossroads
  • STP (Stone Temple Pilots) No. 4
  • Moby (whatever CD of his I am digging on this particular week )
  • Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill

I've also been listening to the following a lot lately:
  • TLC Fanmail
  • 3 Doors Down The Better Life
  • Kina Kina
  • Shotokovich Symphony #5 conducted by Leonard Bernstein
  • R.E.M. Out of Time

Ok.. so this list can go on, and on, and on...

But if I were stuck on a desert island w/ only 10 CD's, it would be the first 10 I listed.

I have two faves: Alanic Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" and Tori Amos double CD "to venus and back/venus still orbiting". Two examples of music perfection!

Jimmy Buffett: Beaches, Boats, Bars and Ballads - its not all of his best stuff, but if I had to pick, that set would be a good representative of things

Carole King: Tapestry - What and *amazing* disc - I can't say enough about how much I love it. AND one of the songs is used as the theme to Gilmore Girls (I love that show!)

Cowboy Mouth: Are You With Me? and MercyLand - an awesome group of New Orleans boys that hit it big! Great CDs for a mellow mood

The best party music for a frat party has to include a good mix of classic rock and recent pop/rock/rap stuff. Here is a sample of good music:

CCR: Clearwater Revival Hits
Bob Dylan: Greatest Hits
The Allman Brothers Band
Phish
Dave Mathews Band
Bruce Springsteen
John Cougar Mellancamp
Def Leapord
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Jay Z... generic recent rap music

My favorite is the Buffy the Vampire Slayer soundtrack... I bought the CD and dubbed it onto a cassette so that I could listen to it in my car (no CD player) ~ trust me, it's good

Others ~ Alanis Morrissette, Jagged Little Pill (whole album ~ my husband hates it ) ; Billy Joel; Madonna; Seal; it depends on my mood and how loud my coworkers are...... ya, I'm eclectic
